GOD IS FAITHFUL

FAITH CAPSULE: It is wisdom to know that there is nothing God cannot do.

Psalm 111

Trusting God without having hope on God does not complete to deliver man’s expectation from God. Trust in God is the reason for many to come into gathering of prayer or church to pray for expectation. However, coming out of prayer gathering/church for prayer with negative confession instead of positive confession is always the evidence of lack of hope. There must be trust and hope to wait on God and it is the evidence of being FAITH-FULL. Many claims to be having faith but really, many only have faith but not faith-full. Jeremiah 17:7 clearly testified the need to trust and hope, “Blessed is the man who trusts in the Lord, and whose hope is the Lord.” Blessings of God truly answers for one that waits on God in trust and hope for manifestation of one’s expectation.
Trusting and hoping on God provokes waiting on God with understanding and knowing that God is truthful to give answer. It is written, For since the beginning of the world Men have not heard nor perceived by the ear, nor has the eye seen any God besides You, who acts for the one who waits for Him.” (Isaiah 64:4) Having trust and hope is waiting on God who acts for the one that waits for God.
How is it possible for one who do not fear God to be able to trust and hope in God? Truly, it is wisdom to know the fear God. The word of God could not have said it better when it says, “The fear of God is the beginning of wisdom…” (Psalm 111:10) It is wisdom to know that the one that created heaven and earth is real and true. It is wisdom to know that there is nothing God cannot do. It is wisdom to know that He cannot fail and all His word will come to pass. Proverbs 3:5-6 pointed out how we are to trust God stating, “Trust in the LORD with all your heart, and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways acknowledge Him, and He shall direct your paths.”
The word of God calls for trusting Him with all heart but not with all mouth or empty noise. God goes by what transpires in the heart. Trusting God with all your heart should not be testing (doubting) God. To be testing God in the heart is to be testing Him by act of disobedience. Testing Him in the heart is rooted in doubting what He can do. Among the promises of trusting God is stated in Isaiah 57:13, “…He who puts his trust in Me shall possess the land and shall inherit My holy mountain.” Absolutely there is nothing worth more than trusting and hoping God to experience His truthfulness. A heart that knows to trust and hope God will know to wait on Him at all times in all situations.

Prayer for today: Ask God to put His fear in you for trusting and hoping in Him.
