FAITH CAPSULE: Walking in order of God is obedience to God.
2 Samuel 6
God is a good and gracious God that will not void His word, and neither shall there be any excuse for anyone to violate His word. The order in place for the ark of God was without exception. God had warned all His people, not to the ark of God.
At the time of transporting the ark of God to Jerusalem, at a threshing floor (a place for processing grain), Uzzah reached out and touched the ark. It was unintentional of Uzzah to touch the ark, but the word of God is with the intention for man to keep orderliness in the word of God.
Out of the order of God is to be placed in the death penalty for anyone that touches the holy object of the tabernacle of God (Numbers 4:15)
In the word of God, there is always a condition to achieve His promise.
Word of God stands to perform with perfection when there is obedience without violation.
The Word of God does not return void to God, so why not give self to the word of God with no violation?
Isaiah 55:11 buttresses, “So shall My word be that goes forth from My mouth; It shall not return to Me void, but it shall accomplish what I please, and it shall prosper in the thing for which I sent it.” Disobedience to the word of God will not excuse destruction as the consequence of disobedience.
Are you obeying or disobeying the word of God?
Proverbs 13:13 warns all, “He who despises the word will be destroyed, But he who fears the commandment will be rewarded.”
God as a merciful God is no excuse for sin against Him. Uzzah lived in the days of law does not allow him to sin, and living in the days of His grace is no excuse to be living a life of disobedience to the word of God.
The book of Roman 6:1 questions, “…Shall we continue in sin that grace may abound? Certainly not! How shall we who died to sin live any longer in it?” The direction of God is His order. Living outside of God is living in disorder which is a way of death and eternal damnation.
Moses, a giant in the hand of God, was with no excuse for his disobedience before GOD.
Disobedience is with a consequence before God. Once Moses received an orderly direction from God but delivered it in disorder. Numbers 20:8 records the word of God disobedient by Moses, “Take the rod; you and your brother Aaron gather the congregation together. Speak to the rock before their eyes, and it will yield its water; thus, you shall bring water for them out of the rock, and give drink to the congregation and their animals.” Moses went and struck instead of speaking to the rock. He took the order of God in his hand to call them rebels.
One that is out of the order of God is out of the ordination of God.
Prayer for today: Ask that God will keep you from disobedience to His word.
