TO LIVE FOR GOD

FAITH CAPSULE: Give yourself to the word of God to avoid distraction.

Genesis 2, 3

A distraction will take the attention of one away from what is supposed to be doing in life.
Distraction will not announce itself when approaching one but will consciously or unconsciously gain a position in life.
Distraction can cause extreme agitation of the mind or emotions in life.
Distraction can be evidence of the issues of life and will give place not to have the peace of God.
Undeniably, giving oneself to listening to the word of God is the antidote to deny distraction, not to gain position in life.
God listens to all.
God created all to be able to listen.
Without a doubt, one that listens to the word of God during the day and night to keep all His commandments (word of God) will not have a place to become a victim of distraction.
Jesus emphasized the importance of listening when He spoke rhetorically in John 8:43, “Why do you not understand My speech? Because you are not able to listen to My word.”
By listening to God, one will gain understanding against distraction.
Get to know with the understanding that to derail man from arrival at the center of divine assignment is also in distraction.
Distraction comes to man through the agent of the devil to derail with deception and lying.
The documentation of Adam and Eve is for all to learn to avoid distractions that will come through deception.
God commands Adam, “And the Lord God commanded the man, saying, “Of every tree of the garden you may freely eat; 17 but of the tree of the knowledge of good and evil you shall not eat, for in the day that you eat of it you shall surely die.” (Genesis 2:16-17)
After the command of God to Adam, the serpent approached Eve with distraction to deceptively twist the word of God to Adam saying “…Has God indeed said, ‘You shall not eat of every tree of the garden’?” (Genesis 3:1) With Eve, the serpent lied about the command of God for Adam.
By the recording of the word of God, He did not command Adam and Eve not to eat of every tree, but God commanded them not to eat just one of all the trees.
The distraction of Eve was the evidence of not listening to understand the command of God when she wrongly responded to the serpent, “…We may eat the fruit of the trees of the garden; 3 but of the fruit of the tree which is in the midst of the garden, God has said, ‘You shall not eat it, nor shall you touch it, lest you die.’ ” (Genesis 3:2-3)
Eve interacted with the serpent.
Eve was not able to listen to the word of God to become a victim of distraction.
In life, distraction, a deception will settle one for derailment not to arrive in the center of the divine assignment.

Prayer for today: Pray not to be a victim of distraction.
