Faith Capsule: In all seasons, wait continually on God.
Psalm 91
In this new season, keep on keeping on every moment.
In the new season, prepare for the future by waiting on God.
It is not determination, but desire that will drive one waiting on God to become deeper spiritually.
One who waits on God will seek God.
Matthew 6:33-34 states, “But seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added to you. Therefore, do not worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will worry about its own things. Sufficient for the day is its own trouble.”
Seeking God first will eliminate worrying and elevate man into worshipping God.
Wait on God to gain an understanding of what it takes to be blessed.
In the new season, wait on God to gain protection, not to become a victim of the one and only enemy of man.
The devil comes to steal, kill, and destroy.
There is nothing good about the enemy of all.
A believer should never underestimate the power of the wicked, one whose agenda is seeking to devour.
To wait on God is to continually dwell in the secret place of the Most High God.
Psalmist confirms, “He who dwells in the secret place of the Most High shall abide under the shadow of the Almighty. I will say of the Lord, “He is my refuge and my fortress; My God, in Him I will trust. Surely He shall deliver you from the snare of the fowler and from the perilous pestilence. He shall cover you with His feathers, and under His wings you shall take refuge; His truth shall be your shield and buckler. You shall not be afraid of the terror by night, Nor of the arrow that flies by day, Nor of the pestilence that walks in darkness, Nor of the destruction that lays waste at noonday.” (Psalm 91:1-6)
What is it taking away from waiting on God?
Waiting on God is giving to the word of God.
The word of God is a place of deliverance and preservation.
God sent His word for the wise to be waiting on Him.
Psalm 107:20 records, “He sent His word and healed them, and delivered them from their destructions.”
The word of God is not for decoration but for declaration against the moves of the wicked one.
The word of God is the authority of God.
It is wise to wait on God for His word.
In the new season, count on God for what He has done, is doing, and will do.
With the character of waiting on God by rejoicing, doing right before God, and not failing to remind God.
With such a character, God will act for those who wait on Him.
Declare God by giving thanks to Him, calling upon His name, singing psalms to Him; talking of His wondrous work and seeking the Lord and His strength (joyfully).
Prayer for today: Ask that you will know how to live by waiting on God.
