1 Samuel 18:5-16

DavidÕs victory over Goliath was still in celebration. David has advanced in the calling of where the Lord was taking him to. The celebration of a great deliverance from the hand of Goliath was all over the children of < ?xml version='1.0' encoding='utf-8'?>Israel. While all these were going on, DavidÕs victory and advance was not enough for the enemy to give him a break from challenges. It does not matter how great the victory is by the grace of God, the devil will show up with a new challenge. David, having killed Goliath, the next day entered into another avenue that will make him what God wanted him to be. 1 Samuel 18:10, ÒAnd it happened on the next day that the distressing spirit from God came upon Saul, and he prophesied inside the house. So David played music with his hand, as at other times; but there was a spear in SaulÕs hand. And Saul cast the spear, for he said, ÔI will pin David to the wall! But David escaped his presence twice.ÕÓ The women have not stopped singing the victory of David over Goliath; the next day another challenge of the enemy took a stand against David. You will wonder why your situation is taking a course the way it is. Study the word of God and you will discover that the greater the challenge, the greater the exploit you will carry out to the glory of God. In all your victory celebration, pay attention to the enemyÕs deliberation. It will come, but God will eliminate all on your behalf for Hs name to be glorified. Do not be carried away with the victory at hand, but keep watching and praying.
