Luke 7:11-19

Leprosy, particularly during Bible times, was a highly contagious disease that kept the infected person separated from family and friends. Leprosy is often used metaphorically in the Bible as an illustration of sin because sin is contagious and destructive and it leads to separation. Can you imagine yourself being in a position that keeps you from going wherever you choose to go? Are you in a situation by law or by affliction that is restraining your movement? Think of something in your life that is keeping you from moving closer to reaching Jesus for your deliverance or breakthrough. In your distance, in your standing afar off from Jesus, if you will only lift your voice and call for mercy, Jesus will respond to you. There is no distance or barrier for Jesus to reach out to you. Luke 17: 12-14, ÒThen as He entered a certain village, there met Him ten men who were lepers, who stood afar off. 13 And they lifted up their voices and said, ÒJesus, Master, have mercy on us!Ó 14 So when He saw them, He said to them, ÒGo, show yourselves to the priests. And so it was that as they went, they were cleansed.Ó The ten lepers were far off when they lifted their voices and cried out to Jesus for help. What is it that is stopping you from lifting your voice to Him? Ignore doubt; Jesus is still the same yesterday, today and tomorrow. Jesus saw the lepers and spoke deliverance into their lives. Jesus, who was, who is and who will always be, will see you in your affliction and will speak to it and address it just as He did with the ten lepers. Consider this day as your day of deliverance and deliverance will be rendered unto you in the name of Jesus.
