JOURNEY
Exodus 15:22-27
“Oh come, let us sing to the LORD! Let us shout joyfully to the Rock of our salvation. 2 Let us come before His presence with thanksgiving; Let us shout joyfully to Him with psalms. 3 For the LORD is the great God, And the great King above all gods.” (Psalm 95:1-3) Our Lord God is worthy of all praise and adoration for years past and privilege of life. The Lord God is good and He remains consistent despite our inconsistency. Days, weeks, months have passed and the Lord God is still God over all of His creation. What could a creation have against is creator? God alone is God and He will be God from everlasting to everlasting. He alone has brought you this far in life and it is only He who can take you further. It is worthy to take time out and count blessings and see if there will be enough places to record the blessings of God. The same God that brought you this far will take you further if you will leave complaint outside of your journey. God is a perfect God and He will supply all your needs as you proceed in the journey of life. The children of Israel came out of bondage of over four hundred years in Egypt and entered a journey to the Promised Land. The children of Israel, “…When they came to Marah, they could not drink the waters of Marah, for they were bitter. Therefore the name of it was called Marah” (Exodus 15:23) Have you got to your the Marah of your journey? If you are not yet at your Marah in the course of your journey you will surely get there. It is a place where temptation will come but it will not be enough to terminate you. It is a ground where it is better not to complain during any experience of lack. The children could not hold against complaining. In there journey, when there was no water, “And the people complained against Moses, saying, “What shall we drink?” 25 So he cried out to the LORD, and the LORD showed him a tree. When he cast it into the waters, the waters were made sweet…” (Exodus 15:24-25) All that God deserves is praise, worship and honor because He will not fail to complete what He starts. He has brought you this far and He will see you through another year. The children that laid complaints did not travel far when, “Then they came to Elim, where there were twelve wells of water and seventy palm trees; so they camped there by the waters.” (Exodus 15:27) Focus on God, do not be discouraged at your Marah because your Elim (your ground of abundance) is not far from where you are. God will make you up for His glory.
Prayer for today: Enable me O Lord to focus on you and not to fail as I continue in the journey of life.
