Faith Capsule: It is never going to be too late to give your life to Christ.
Psalm 73
The wickedness of man on the face of earth continues with no sign of reducing. Wickedness thrives and the wicked one live life as if they created themselves. Ecclesiastes 8:13 identify who the wicked ones are, “But it will not be well with the wicked; nor will he prolong his days, which are as a shadow, because he does not fear before God.” Wicked ones are those with no fear of God. To be living life outside of God’s command is the evidence of lack of fear of God. Imagine a creation violating the creator by consciously or unconsciously taking opposite direction from God. Among the identities of the wicked ones are, “They are not in trouble as other men, nor are they plagued like other men. Therefore pride serves as their necklace; violence covers them like a garment. Their eyes bulgewith abundance; they have more than heart could wish.” (Psalm 73:5-7) Wicked ones are the rebellious ones that do not regard the word of God.Jeremiah described the wicked ones stating that they have the word of God near in their mouth but far from their mind. (Jeremiah 12:1-2)
Wickedness is the root cause of destruction in the time of Noah. Under heaven, there is no wickedness that is hidden from God neither is there any hidden place for wickedness that God cannot see. The bible recorded, “Then the Lord saw that the wickedness of man was great in the earth, and that every intent of the thoughts of his heart was only evil continually. And the Lord was sorry that He had made man on the earth, and He was grieved in His heart. So the Lord said, “I will destroy man whom I have created from the face of the earth, both man and beast, creeping thing and birds of the air, for I am sorry that I have made them.” But Noah found grace in the eyes of the Lord. (Genesis 6:5-8) Without any doubt, wickedness’ root is in the heart of man. Jeremiah 17:9 buttressed, “The heart is deceitful above all things, And desperately wicked; who can know it?” Our God is a good and merciful God. He is a longsuffering God. He is God that does not want any to perish. He continues to be consistently merciful despite the inconsistency of man. 2 Peter 3:9 admonished, “The Lord is not slack concerning His promise, as some count slackness, but is longsuffering toward us, not willing that any should perish but that all should come to repentance.” Is it possible for you to search yourself and see if there is any wicked way in you? It is never going to be too late to give your life to Christ. If you are thinking you have wasted too much of your life it becomes an evidence that He wants to raise you.
