FAITH CAPSULE: God alone brought you this far.
Exodus 15
Complaining will result in complications.
God is worthy of all praise and adoration for years past and the privilege of life.
The Lord God is good and remains consistent despite the inconsistency of the majority not living by His word.
God alone has brought all this far in life and will also take one further.
It is worthy to take time out and count blessings and see if there will be enough places to record the blessings of God.
God alone brought you this far and will take you further if you know to leave complaints outside your life journey.
Complaining will result in complications.
Where there is complication, confusion, and termination reigns.
Engaging in complaining is evidence of worrying.
Are you worried?
Jesus encourages all in His word, “…do not worry about your life, what you will eat or what you will drink; nor about your body, what you will put on. Is not life more than food and the body more than clothing? Look at the birds of the air, for they neither sow nor reap nor gather into barns; yet your heavenly Father feeds them. Are you not of more value than they? Which of you by worrying can add one cubit to his stature?” (Matthew 6:25-27)
God is a perfect God.
God will supply all your needs as you proceed in your life journey.
The children of Israel came out of bondage of over four hundred years in Egypt and entered a journey to the Promised Land.
During their journey, “… they came to Marah, they could not drink the waters of Marah, for they were bitter. Therefore, the name of it was called Marah” (Exodus 15:23)
Have you got to the representative of your Marah in your life journey?
Marah is a ground where it is better not to complain during any experience of lack in life journey.
For the children of Israel, it was a place where complaining opened the door unto temptation.
If you are not at a Marah ground in the journey of your life, in the course of your life journey, you will surely get there at the appointed time by disregarding complaining.
The children could not hold against complaining.
On their journey to the Promised Land, when there was no water.
Exodus 15:24-25 records, “And the people complained against Moses, saying, “What shall we drink?”
God deserves to be praised for His goodness at all times because what He cannot do is He cannot fail.
He has brought you this far and will see you through.
The Israelites who complained did not know that Elim was not far.
Elim was where they saw twelve wells of water and seventy palm trees, so they camped there by the waters. (Exodus 15:27)
Focus on God; do not be discouraged at your Marah because your Elim (your ground of abundance) is not far from where you are.
Prayer for today: Ask to be enabled not to fall for complaint in your life journey.
