FAITH CAPSULE: The importance of keeping the testimonies of God, the doing of God.
Daniel 3
Testimony can be an EVIDENCE (Proof), the proof of what God has done or doing.
Psalm 119:2-3 states, “Blessed are those who keep His testimonies,
Who seek Him with the whole heart! They also do no iniquity; They walk in His ways.”
Testimony is acknowledging the doings of God.
Meditating on the testimony of God will provoke the attention of God.
Also, the prayer of testimony will not fail to gain the attention of God.
THE TESTIMONY OF SHADRACH, MESHACK, AND ABED-NEGRO, IS TO LEARN THAT:
Shadrach, Meshach, and Abed-Nego disobeyed the law of Babylon.
They do not serve gods or worship the gold image.
King Nebuchadnezzar was in rage and fury to order death in the Fiery burning.
The three brothers testify about what God can do in the place of sudden death.
The TESTIMONY of the three brothers provoked HEAVEN when they said:
Daniel 3:16-18, “16 Shadrach, Meshach, and Abed-Nego answered and said to the king, “O Nebuchadnezzar, we have no need to answer you in this matter. 17 If that is the case, our God whom we serve is able to deliver us from the burning fiery furnace, and He will deliver us from your hand, O king. 18 But if not, let it be known to you, O king, that we do not serve your gods, nor will we worship the gold image which you have set up.”
The three friends escaped the burning fiery furnace as commanded by Nebuchadnezzar.
Nebuchadnezzar saw the deliverance of God over the three brothers.
In Daniel 3:24-25, He reacted by saying, “Did we not cast three men bound into the midst of the fire?”
They answered and said to the king, “True, O king.”
“Look!” he answered, “I see four men loose, walking in the midst of the fire; and they are not hurt, and the form of the fourth is like the Son of God.”
The friends of Daniel testified what God is yet to do, not just what God will do.
They declared a testimony that provoked deliverance.
Giving testimony is a communication with unfailing deliverance.
The testimony of David provoked heaven to back him for his victory over Goliath.
The testimony of David was how God gave him victory by using his hand to kill a bear and lion and eventually kill a giant by his testimony. (1 Samuel 17)
One who shares what the Lord has done or listens to the testimony of God is with the character of keeping the testimony of God.
Psalm 119:2-3 states, “Blessed are those who keep His testimonies,
Who seek Him with the whole heart! They also do no iniquity; They walk in His ways.”
Ask that keeping the testimony of God shall continually be your way of life.
Ask that keeping the testimony of God shall be established in your life so that you can live for the glory of God.
