FAITH CAPSULE: I plead, Lord God, Let your way be my way.
Genesis 17
Living by the way of God is the character of obedience.
The way of God is the word of God.
Those who walk in the way of God give themselves to the word of God,
live for His glory.
Genesis 17:1 records, “When Abram was ninety-nine years old, the Lord appeared to Abram and said to him, “I am Almighty God; walk before Me and be blameless.”
God made Abram walk (in His way) before Him and will make you walk in His way if it is your desire prayerfully to ask Him.
Genesis 5:24, “Enoch walked with God; and he was not, for God took him.
Genesis 6:9, “Noah was a just man, perfect in his generations. Noah walked with God.”
In your life journey, how far are you from God, who is near always?
To walk far from God is the avenue to experience failure.
If walking in the way of God is not possible, the word of God would not have asked for walking in His way.
Have the desire to walk in the way of God.
It does not matter who you are or the title you answer, but walking far from God is the avenue to fall.
The way of God is in the word of God.
Give self to the word of God, observe, and live by His word.
Proverbs 23:26 informs, “My son, give me your heart, and let your eyes observe my ways.
The way of God is the way to walk and not live a life of waste.
Pray continually to walk the way of God.
What you think is what you ask.
Ephesians 3:20 buttress, “Now to Him who is able to do exceedingly abundantly above all that we ask or think, according to the power that works in us.”
Continually pray that you will not be far from God but observe and live by His word, walking in His ways.
One that prays continually for the way of God demonstrates reliance on God and does not take the chances of falling off the way of God.
Is Moses half obedience the evidence of disobedience, falling out of the way of God?
God asked Moses to speak to the rock in the eyes of the Israelites to give them a drink, but Moses did not obey according to the way of God. (Numbers 20:8)
Numbers 11:20 records, “Then Moses lifted his hand and struck the rock twice with his rod; and water came out abundantly, and the congregation and their animals drank.”
Half obedience is disobedience.
Moses struck and spoke, an act against the word of God.
God responded to Moses, “Then the Lord spoke to Moses and Aaron, “Because you did not believe Me, to hallow Me in the eyes of the children of Israel, therefore you shall not bring this assembly into the land which I have given them.” (Numbers 11:12)
Moses did not walk in the direction of God.
Prayer for today: Pray not to be disobedient in the way of God.
