FAITH CAPSULE: Seeking God diligently is living a life obedient to God.
Genesis 22
Find God by your way of life.
Have the desire, not just determination, to seek God diligently.
Seek God diligently to find God, not to be a victim of evil in this world.
Determination is not enough to live for God, to find Him.
Peter, a disciple of Jesus, was in the case of failure determination.
Jesus informed His disciples that they all would deny Him.
Peter answered to Jesus that even if all stumble, he will not be. (Mark 14:29)
Peter was determined not to deny living for God but to live for God.
Peter failed by denying God.
Mark 14:72 records, “Then Peter called to mind the word that Jesus had said to him, “Before the rooster crows twice, you will deny Me three times. And when he thought about it, he wept.”
With determination rooted in the desire to seek God diligently, such shall find God.
Above all, Jesus prayed for Peter, “But I have prayed for you, that your faith should not fail…” (Luke 22:32)
With prayer, know that God will deposit the desire to seek Him diligently.
Do not live far from God.
God is near, available for all to find Him.
Have the desire to seek God diligently and find Him.
God testifies David as a man after His heart, seeking God to find God.
Psalm 27:14, “One thing I have desired of the Lord, That will I seek…”
Why not have the desire to seek God diligently to find God?
Do you have another to seek besides God?
Psalm 73:25 states, “And there is none upon earth that I desire besides You.”
WHAT DOES IT TAKE TO SEEK GOD DILIGENTLY?
Living obediently to the word of God is seeking God diligently.
It is obeying to be praying before God.
Jeremiah 29:12-14 records, “Then you will call upon Me and go and pray to Me, and I will listen to you. And you will seek Me and find Me when you search for Me with all your heart. I will be found by you, says the Lord…”
Abraham lived a life of obedience before God.
Abraham seeks God diligently, with all his heart and soul, to find God.
Abraham obediently answered the calling of God to relocate him.
God called Abraham, “Get out of your country, From your family And from your father’s house, To a land that I will show you.” (Genesis 12:1)
Unquestionably, Abraham obeyed the word of God.
God called Abraham for the burnt offering of his only son. (Genesis 22)
Abraham obeyed God.
As Abraham was set for the offering of his son, he found God.
He heard from God, saying, “Do not lay your hand on the lad, or do anything to him; for now, I know that you fear God since you have not withheld your son, your only son, from Me.” (Genesis 22:12)
Abraham sought God obeying the word of God unceasingly.
All are created to exist for the Glory of God. (Revelation 4:11)
Know to seek God diligently.
