A DIFFERENT SPIRIT

FAITH CAPSULE: A different spirit will fuel one to follow in the way of God, to arrive at the plan of God.

Numbers 14

Pray to give oneself to following God as a way of life.
Claiming to be a believer is not enough to be fully following God.
The word of God identified Caleb as one who followed God.
Numbers 14:24 records, “But My servant Caleb, because he has a different spirit in him and has followed Me fully.”
Many followed, but not all followed in the way of God.
Possibly, the different spirit in Calab is the word of God.
Joshua meditated on the word of God consistently. (Joshua 1:8)
Joshua and Caleb walked together and must have contacted the word of God, a different spirit.
Ask that the different spirit that enables Caleb to follow fully become activated in your life in the name of Jesus.
A failure to fully follow God is the cause of negative confession and does not lead to gaining the promise of God.
What have you placed on yourself consciously or unconsciously?
What is it you have said about yourself?
Plead for the mercy of God to reverse what seems to be irreversible.
Proverbs 18:21 warns, “Death and life are in the power of the tongue, and those who love it will eat its fruit.”
Matthew 12:34 states, “For out of the abundance of the heart the mouth speaks.”
How do you curtail your words to prevent yourself from being a victim of negative confession?
Challenges prompt speaking negatively in life.
God promised to take the Israelites to the Promised Land.
The challenges on their way to the Promised Land prompted them to confess negatively because they failed to see deliverance in the word of God.
Numbers 14:2 records the confession of the Israelites, “And all the children of Israel complained against Moses and Aaron, and the whole congregation said to them, ‘If only we had died in the land of Egypt! Or if only we had died in this wilderness!”
God responded, sent Moses to them, in Numbers 14:28, stating, “Say to them, ‘As I live,’ says the Lord, ‘just as you have spoken in My hearing, so I will do to you.”
God hears all.
What are you saying negatively?
Ephesians 3:20 admonishes, “Now to Him who is able to do exceedingly abundantly above all that we ask or think, according to the power that works in us.”
What do you think, or what are you asking about, saying it negatively?
Words in the heart spoken out will launch you into what is said or what you think it.
The Pharaoh of Egypt could not keep the Israelites in bondage permanently.
The Red Sea failed to deny the Israelites from going to the Promised Land.
The wall of Jericho failed to deny the Israelites from getting on the way to the Promised Land.
However, the mouth of the Israelites (the negative confession) denied their arrival in the Promised Land.
Prayer for today: Pray that you live a life with control to speak right, not wrongly.
God reverses the irreversible.
Whatever follows you or you carry that is not of God must cease permanently in the name of Jesus.
